PROJECT WHITE TIGER

The Beginning

Having wrapped up our Tercel Project(check out the video here) my brother was getting a decent deal on a Toyota Starlet. Now this was just basically a rolling shell, meaning no engine or interior but it was still a nice platform to work with.

The plan is to run the car naturally asperated with a 4age platform, upgrade the brakes, reinstall a modified fuel system and get new interior pieces which will be up to date according to safety regulations.

The main aim of the car is to do circuit racing but at the same time we are preparing it to do all motors sports events ie drags, rallies and sprints.

The Engine Bay Paint

So the first thing that was done to the car in its early days was having the engine bay painted.

The colour is semilar to that of the original colour of our tercel project that we had previously done.

All the componets from the bay were removed, and the bay preped and painted by a local spray man.

All in all it turned out very well.

All Caged Up

So in order to take part in high speed events such as circuit racing or rallying, regulation dictates that you need proper roll cage installed.

Following protocol we had the starlet fitted with a 6 point roll cage  done by a profession and so its sure to pass all the inspections for upcoming events.

Check out the photos.Apologies for the picture quality but will take some better photos soon as a new camera has been aquired.

Dash Install

So over the christmas / new years break from work my brother got some time to reinstall the dash board.

Your probably asking why the need for the reinstallation of the dashboard but its required for the class in which we plan to run the car at the local circuit meets.
